RCAA Org Outline
The Rose City Artists’ Alliance is an art collective based out of Tyler, Texas. It is owned and operated by a group of 11 artists in the East-Texas area.
Our main goal is to celebrate and promote local art. Our secondary goal is to provide our customers with high-quality, intuitively-appealing, and original art-based products.
Art is not a luxury. It enriches peoples’ lives, wherever it can fit into them, and is, therefore, necessary, a universal human value.
Art is also not a special interest. Appreciating art is natural. It can be enhanced by knowledge but it requires no training. It is certainly not an intellectual flex. In our view, cutting-edge art is art that resonates, art that tells a story, elicits an emotion, or creates an experience.
Art is a re-making of the artists’ experience, an interpretation of their world or some part of it. The raw materials are taken from the whole body of their experience—what else is possible?—selectively assembled, then translated into their specific craft.
Owning art is, therefore, owning a snap-shot of the artists’ mind, it’s owning “the thing that happened” when they tasked themselves with hours of deliberate creation. It’s the physical imprint their concentration and time left on the world. Experiencing a great art gallery is more like being in good company than it is observing an assortment of interesting—or dull—objects.
RCAA aims to help people enjoy the company of great art. We hope to provide, not only the physical products to make this happen, but also everything needed to accompany them—from hand-picked, stylized frame options, to info packets about each piece and artist. We also want to provide display options that do not require wall-space, from statement apparel to decorative or functional art products and decor. We are interested in feedback, community-oriented, and have a wide variety of skills to apply to new projects.
Reach out if you’d like to collaborate with us or if you’d like more information.
